CNG Daughter Station is installed where a CNG fill station is desired but there is no natural gas pipeline. Natural gas is brought to the CNG station by mobile storage. A daughter station compressor quickly and efficiently moves the natural gas from the mobile storage to ground storage.
Safety Features
- The compressor is designed with automated unmanned operation and various safety features to ensure safe and stable operation with low operating costs.
- Flameproof electrical components are tested and certified for use in explosive atmospheres.
- A vent tube is provided to release gas from the top of the compressor at a height of 2.5 meters above the roof.
- A fail-safe mode is designed to enhance safety. All critical parameters are monitored and controlled by the PLC according to set values, and alarms are triggered in case of abnormal operations. Additionally, a troubleshooting guide is available on the HMI.
- Surge protectors and relays are installed in the control system to protect the electrical system. A phase sequence preventer is also installed to prevent motor reverse rotation.
- A Thermal Magnetic Over-current Relay is designed into the control panel to protect the motor.
- One Emergency Shutdown (ESD) is located on the skid, and another ESD is located on the PLC, both interlocked with each other to stop the compressor in an emergency by activating either of them.
