Ned is among the few companies in China with the capability to design and construct large liquefied natural gas storage tanks, with capacities of up to 50,000 cubic meters. Additionally, we manufacture LNG loading/unloading arms, loading compartments equipped with automated control systems, as well as optional boosters and flow meters.
Features
- Low-Temperature Storage Equipment: LNG storage stations require specialized low-temperature storage equipment to house liquefied natural gas. These devices must possess high tolerance for extremely low temperatures and excellent insulation performance to ensure the stability and safety of LNG during storage.
- Stringent Safety Requirements: Given that liquefied natural gas is flammable and explosive, LNG storage stations must meet exceptionally high safety standards. The storage equipment should feature a double-layer wall structure and be outfitted with comprehensive safety measures, including emergency cutoff systems and leak detection systems, to facilitate prompt responses to accidents and prevent their escalation.
- Efficient Logistics System: To ensure the efficient transportation and supply of LNG, LNG storage stations must have a well-organized logistics system comprising LNG transport vehicles, pipeline transportation systems, etc. This ensures timely delivery of LNG to the intended destination, meeting user demands.
- Professional Operation and Management Team: Effective operation and maintenance of equipment at LNG reserve stations necessitate a proficient operational and management team. These teams must possess the requisite professional skills and experience to navigate various complex scenarios, ensuring the safety and stability of LNG storage and transportation processes.

Types of Facilities
There are various types of LNG facilities:
- LNG Export Terminals (also known as Liquefaction Terminals): These terminals receive natural gas from gas fields, liquefy (refrigerate) the gas to LNG, store it in LNG storage tanks, and load LNG onto LNG tankers.
- LNG Receiving or Import Terminals (also known as Vaporization or Regasification Plants): These terminals receive LNG from LNG tankers, store it, vaporize it into natural gas, and distribute it via pipelines or transport it as a liquid by truck.
- LNG Peak Shaving Facilities: These facilities are used to mitigate peak demand on the coldest days by providing an additional supply of gas. They receive natural gas from pipelines, liquefy it to LNG (or receive imported LNG), store LNG during warmer weather, and convert it back to natural gas for customer use during colder weather.
- LNG Base-Load Facilities: These facilities are used for general year-round supply.
- LNG Satellites: These are small tanks that receive LNG by truck, store it during warmer weather, and vaporize it into natural gas during peak demand.
- LNG Temporary Facilities: These facilities are used to provide supply during planned construction and maintenance activities or in cases of supply emergencies.
